Regatta 2015 - Glanford Boat Club, Brigg

I am so excited to have received an invitation to this year's Regatta at Glanford Boat Club, Brigg.

Glanford Boat Club is a private club, but it is opening it's gates to the public on Saturday 23rd May 2015 from 10am to 6pm, and hosting a fabulous Regatta.  All the boats get decorated by the owners; this year the theme is 1960/70's so they will certainly be colourful.

There is going to be a FREE mini fun fair, kiddies rides, bouncy castle and lots more attractions to please children of all ages!

Have you heard of Amy Howson? No, me neither.  But Amy is not a person, it is a huge commercial barge and you and your family will be able to see it on this fun day.  It has a great local history, but I am not going to tell you any more, visit Glanford Boat Club and see it for yourself.

A marquee is going to be filled with craft stalls (I am always a sucker for craft stalls, as well as food stalls), the model boat club will also be showing off, yes you have guessed it, some great model boats!

The RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea, is also supporting the Regatta.

And, yes, there will be refreshments served in the Club House; sandwiches, cakes etc., and alcohol.

So a great fun day out for all the family, held in a lovely location that you will only know about if you have a boat moored there or you visit this exclusive event.

By the way, if you do visit the Regatta, tell them Pearl sent you!
